A day at the beach can do wonders for your well-being. Taking the time to relax, enjoy the sun, boost your vitamin D intake and have a break from daily life can dramatically improve your mental health. However, the beach can wreak havoc on both your hair and skin, leaving it dry, flaky and generally unhealthy. This makes it really important to spend some time treating your skin to a well-deserved deep cleanse post-beach visit.
Deep cleansing can do wonders for both skin and hair. Removing toxins, dead skin cells and dirt, it de-clogs pores, leaving them clean and clear. Build-up of oils, sun creams and other products is also eliminated, allowing your skin to breathe whilst leaving hair weightless.
The first step to deep cleansing to your skin is to exfoliate away any dead skin cells. The Menage Deep Pore Cleansing Face Scrub would be a good choice as it contains natural volcanic particles. These will eliminate dead skin cells and excess oils without stripping much-needed moisture from the skin.
A face mask should then be used to rejuvenate your complexion. The Omorovicza Deep Cleansing Mask is specially formulated to cleanse and brighten the skin. Containing Hungarian Moor Mud, it enriches the skin with calcium and magnesium whilst drawing out toxins and impurities.
Even though a quick spritz of salt spray can leave your hair with a stylish tousled look, overexposure to salt and sea water can badly damage your hair. Combined with the heat from the sun, the hair and scalp can become dry and irritated. A scalp scrub such as the Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt will remove residue and impurities, improving the overall health and appearance.
After deep cleansing the hair, you need to re-hydrate your scalp and strands to prevent brittleness and snapping. A conditioner such as the Baxter of California Daily Moisturising Conditioner will detangle hair whilst improving shine and texture. Strengthening with Hydrolzed keratin and Q10, it will become more easily manageable.
