Introducing: La Roche-Posay

We’ve just launched La Roche-Posay on Mankind and we couldn’t be more excited. Not only is it one of our favourite brands, but it’s extremely effective.

All products from La Roche-Posay go through rigorous clinical tests to ensure they are the most effective they can be and that they’re suitable for sensitive skin. Whilst many men might think their skin isn’t sensitive, if you shave, we can guarantee you’ll be prone to irritation from time to time, so it’s always worth considering sensitive products.

What Makes La Roche-Posay Different?

Beside the fact that all their products are proven to work, and backed by leading dermatologists, the range is also at the height of innovation. They utilise healing La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, which is a naturally mineral-rich water found in a medieval French village. It’s rich in minerals and trace elements that are scientifically known for their soothing properties and has been used in Europe for centuries.

Whilst it’s difficult to select a few products, we’ve narrowed down our 3 favourites that we think every man should have in his grooming bag.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo

Designed to target blemish-prone and oily skin, La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo is the holy grail of blemish products. This popular product is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of blemishes, whilst helping to unblock pores, refine skin texture and reduce the appearance of shine. The gel-cream is perfect for anyone who has oily skin, and as it’s non-comedogenic and paraben free, it’s suitable for even the most sensitive of skin types.

How do you use Effaclar Duo?

After cleansing, apply to your face both morning and night. If you feel as though your skin needs and extra boost of hydration, you can follow on with your daily moisturiser.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm

This universal product is suitable for any member of the family. We’d recommend trying it as it’s perfect for any kind of daily skin irritations. For men, this can be applicable to shaving, and even down to any minor injury you might have from sport. It will help calm dry skin and reduce tightness, which makes it ideal for daily use. It also helps to soothe and protect the skin, with antibacterial properties to help leave skin restored.

Apply a small amount to your hands and work into any irritated areas of skin as needed. Use as a post-shave cream to help reduce redness and irritation.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel

The first step in any skincare routine is a cleanser. The La Roche-Posay Toleriane Softening Foaming Gel has a light texture that works to combat sensitivity and irritation, whilst softening the skin. Unlike many other cleansers, this one has a formula that is designed specifically to reduce the risk of skin intolerance, meaning your skin won’t react. If you have issues with facial redness or sensitivity, this is the cleanser for you.
