Awesome product!
5DO NOT listen to all the negative reviews about this razor!! They obviously have tried shaving as you would with the multi-blade razors and immediately put pressure on the blade and tried raking at the skin!! This needs respect and a certain finesse and after the first week of using it you will be amazed at the results. Start off on the lowest blade setting as you begin the learning curve and gradually increase when your confidence starts to build. I've had this razor for a couple of weeks and I'm on setting 4. I found settings 5 and 6 were too aggressive and took a few nick on my neck!! I suggest you watch a couple of short clips on double-edged shaving techniques on youtube.com before you make the switch....Feels 'weighty' and well made and when used with quality cream (i.e. Trumpers shaving cream/soap) and a badger hair brush you will get the closest shave ever without any irritation. Being only 22 I used to get aweful shaving rash and in-growing hairs round the neck but all I have now is baby smooth skin that smells fantastic, courtesy of the Trumpers Rose shaving cream and I am able to shave on a daily basis. Honestly...be a true gent and buy this razor!

Simply wow
5If you have very hard facial hair like me definitely give this a try. A lot less irritation when shaving every day (using mach 3 or disposables I could only shave every other day)

A different League
5Yes it's true, buy this and sample what a real shave feels like. I have tried them all and this certainly works. As somebody else said, no more in-growing hairs on your neck after a shave.

Entirely splendid
5This beauty is far superior to a Mach 3 or a Quattro, and by God you'll feel more like the gentleman you should be for using it. Because it has a single blade there's no between-blade clogging. Replacement blades come to something like 15p each (or 40p for Merkur branded), and on my face they're good for three or four shaves. It feels damn fine to hold and use, and although the Merkur requires a little more time and care than lesser razors, you'll get a better shave from it by half. Visitors to your bathroom will immediately understand that you're a gent of significant calibre when they clap eyes on it. And so they rightly should.

Very good razor
5Used it 3 times now and after a bit of time getting used to it, I get a really good shave. There are some videos on YouTube showing how best to use it that are worth watching.

A real mans shave
5This razor is superb. Just use a decent cream and brush and after a little practice prepare for the nicest, closest shave you've had. Looks pricey, but excellent and an investment.

The best razor you can buy - if you learn to use it correctly
5This is a fantastic razor that gives a super close and comfortable shave. It really is the shaving experience I've been waiting for. If you are the kind of person that wants a quick 5 min shave then this isn't for you. But if you want to have the shave of your life then be patient and you will definitely get it with this. I can almost guarantee that the people that have marked this poorly in their reviews aren't using it correctly - you cant just drag it round your face like a Mach3 or it will shred your skin. You need to get the correct angle and take your time.

The best shave ever - but needs some practice
5I have read some great and some not so great reviews of this razor. I was very nervous about using such a sharp implement but was surprised how easy it was to use. I initially started on the least aggressive setting, as advised and only nicked myself once. After a couple of weeks I have gradually increased to the setting and find I can get a very close shave with no irritation (used to have problem on my neck). The secret is to be as gentle and as careful as possible. Be patient and you will be rewarded with probably the best shave of your life!

You only need one blade
5Got one of these for Christmas, my favourite present. A brilliant shave with a single blade, and very well constructed!
