5I have been using Zirth shave cream now for 2 weeks and have truthfully noticed a massive change when shaving i.e very close shave, no nicks, no missed bits etc. To get the best out of this product invest in a good shaving brush to apply for best results. Yes it does clog the razor, but keep the water hot and rinse the blade offen problem solved and this product looks like it will last me 6 months. The best so far.

The best a man can get
5For a period of about four years, I never used the same shaving product twice. Everything left me with razor burn and I was determined to find something that didn't. This is it. I've been using it for about six years now. I now use it over an oil, but it works just as well without. I've also always used it with a brush. Contrary to other reviews, this works fine and brushes improve shaves immensely. They're not simply an applicator, but loosen raise the hairs on your face ready for your razor to pass over.

4What have they done. This cream was thick but they have changed the mix and it is not as good as it was. Much lighter now. Ws outstanding now just quite good.

Fantastic product
4This is one of the best shaving creams around. Its quite thick & heavy so you only need a small amount - too much and the blade will struggle. If you like this then you should also try the Art of Shaving - their cream and oil shave is the best around.

3This shave cream feels good on and does a good job, even with heavy beards like mine. I wouldn't recommend trying to apply it with a brush though as it doesn't emulsify well enough. It goes on really well when spread with the fingertips.

It has the consistency of toothpaste
1Anonymous' is right - wish i had heeded his warning. I read through all the reviews before purchasing, being familiar with T&H, Trumpers, etc. Granted, it gets the job done (it does give a close shave but then this is par for the course when you wet shave with a brush). It smells like Deep Heat, due to the menthol. Having just finished the St. James's product this Zirh product just feels crude. As a result of the toothpaste consistency it is very difficult to apply with a shaving brush & does clog a Merkur razor quite easily (Having read the other reviews I deliberately didnt apply too much product. To be fair that is probably why it is almost half the price of the St. James's product. I received it in the mail this morning, used it once & it is now in the bin. Garbage. Spend your money on one of the other great shaving creams available on this website.

Not a good product!
1I have tested practically the entire Zirh range including this product, the only product that I would recommend is Zirh Correct pre-moisturizer facial serum. If you want a good shave, use Truefitt & Hill Pre-Shave Oil, followed by one of their glycerine based shave creams (not the ultimate comfort one).

Why The Change Of Formula
1Most of the reviews and comments were written before the formula changed it was thick and wonderful and was without doubt the best shaving cream EVER but now it's just a runny nothing that is just not worth the money
