Suffice to say, systems 1-2 are for hair that has not been dyed, 1 being for normal to thin hair, and 2 for noticeably thinning hair. We recommend that most men use these kits. Systems 3-6 are primarily for chemically treated hair, and/or coarse hair.

The three products in each kit work together to promote thicker, denser and more resilient hair, and come highly recommended by the team.

Step 1:

The Nioxin Cleanser helps to remove oil and debris that would otherwise clog your hair follicles. Rinse, apply and massage into the scalp and hair, as you would any other shampoo. Then move on to step 2.

Step 2:

The Nioxin Scalp Therapy is a lightweight conditioner that makes hair stronger and controls moisture balance, as moist hair is easier to break. Towel dry your hair gently and move on to step 3.

Step 3:

The Nioxin Scalp Treatment thickens hair strands and works to repair the scalp. Apply directly to the scalp and rub in gently. It’s a leave in formula so don’t rinse it off, and can apparently cause the scalp to redden temporarily, although the Mankind team didn’t notice anything.

Intensive Therapy

The Nioxin Intensive Therapy Hair Booster and the Deep Repair Hair Masque work on specific areas to reduce damage and breakage. We recommend that you use these products as well as the Thinning Hair System Kits to target specific areas like the crown and the hairline.

The Hair Booster is the hero here, using it twice a day, in conjunction with the three step kit, made our hairlines appear fuller and our hair felt stronger, with more of us opting for the Lawrence of Arabia slick back than ever before.

Scalp Renew

The Nioxin Scalp Renew Density Restoration works to reduce hair loss through breakage. It claims to reduce hair breakage by 54%, which sounds marvelous if you ask us. Applying it to your scalp every evening for a month will strengthen your hair and make it denser, stronger and healthier.
