Over recent years, people have become more concerned and aware with what products and ingredients they’re using on their skin. Due to this, new brands and ranges are consistently being introduced to the skincare world. These tend to have the main focus being either natural, vegan, vegetarian or cruelty-free. We’ve previously discussed some of the others in the past, and this time we’re taking a look at vegan skincare. Continue reading to find out more.
Vegan skincare is simply a range of products which do not use any animal-derived ingredients in their products. This includes ingredients such as beeswax, lanolin, honey and animal-derived squalene. Instead the products contain plants, minerals and sometimes safe, synthetic ingredients. If you’re unsure whether a product is vegan, it should state in the product description on our site, or a quick internet search will be able to tell you.
The Jack Black Double Duty Face Moisturiser is a lightweight moisturiser containing broad spectrum sun protection in SPF20. Providing long-lasting hydration without oiliness or heaviness, it visibly improves the skin’s overall appearance. This emollient formula containing antioxidants and vitamins shields the skin by creating a protective barrier from sun exposure, preventing premature ageing. Suitable for all skin types, it locks in moisture without leaving it feeling greasy and is also dermatologically tested.
The ManCave Olivestone Face Scrub is created specifically for men to exfoliate and refine the skin. This powerful scrub contains fine olive stone granules to buff away dirt and dead skin cells, paired with aloe vera and grapeseed oil for intense hydration. Re-balancing oily skin without over-drying and causing uncomfortable tightness, it decongests blocked pores whilst eliminating blackheads and ingrown hairs. Continued use will make skin smoother and softer and it’s also free from parabens, sulphates and synthetic dye.
The Dr Botanicals Coco Noir Super Treatment Overnight Mask is packed with botanical extracts to refresh the complexion. Working overnight whilst the skin is most receptive to repair, this mask soothes whilst visibly lifting the skin for a more youthful appearance. Combining a vitamin rich blend of papaya, jojoba oil and sweet almond oil, it purifies whilst promoting skin hydration, enhancing visible suppleness and elasticity. This overnight mask is also free from parabens and preservatives.
