Lesson 10: Unwanted Body Hair

Lesson 10: Unwanted Body Hair

A few years ago, you’d have to visit a salon and shell out a small fortune to get rid of your excess fur but thanks to the popularity of body hair removal, it’s never been easier or more convenient. What’s more, you can do it in the privacy of your own home and Mankind has an array of products to help you de-fuzz you just need to choose the ones for you.

Electrical Hair Removal Systems

If you just want to trim back body hair so it looks neat and tidy a cordless grooming tool, like Remington Touch Screen Trimmer, is the ideal solution.

100% organic, it’s ideal for sensitive skin and gives long-lasting results without blunt-ended, itchy re-growth. As with most hair removal treatments it’s not entirely painless (you’re ripping hair out at the root after all) but it isn’t nearly as eye-watering as some waxes can be.

If you opt for the Back Hair Shaver all you need to do is trim away. It comes with three different length guards so always start with the longest and go shorter if you want (you can always take more off but can’t stick it back on!). Just make sure that your body hair is even and consistent (i.e don’t trim your chest hair then leave the stuff on your stomach longer or it’ll look weird).

Alternative Hair Removal Processes

Whether you’re sugaring, using a hair removal cream or shaving it’s a good idea to follow up with a product like Elemis SOS Survival Cream to soothe and protect skin. With its naturally antiseptic properties, it’s the perfect after treatment for freshly de-fuzzed skin. Or, if you’ve been using a traditional razor, apply an aftershave balm in the way you’d apply some to your face (unscented ones like Clinique’s Post Shave Healer are best as they minimize any chance of irritation).
