6 Questions With Closed On Monday

Question:
Answer:

Closed On Monday mentioned that it’s all about the pre-blow dry. Apply a little Deluxe Pomade to towel dried hair and use the product as a blow-drying product. This will help when creating the pompadour shape. Finish with Strong Pomade.

Pretty straight forward, right? You’ll have the perfect pompadour in no time. It’s essential to use a pre-styler to help lock the shape in place.

Question:
Answer:

This answer is short and sweet – An oil based product is the answer; it will eliminate frizz by coating the hair and leaving a frizz-free smooth finish.

You could try using the Closed On Monday Deluxe Wax for curly hair, as it’s oil-based it’ll work perfectly at taming frizz.

Question:
Answer:

Using a matte non-shiny product will help this. Closed On Monday Matte Paste would be perfect. The hair needs to have a matte finish as when hair is wet it looks thinner. Also, sea salt spray is good for adding volume to fine hair.

Try adding in sea salt spray before drying your hair, to give it a bit of added volume. Then finish with a matte paste to prevent the hair looking shiny and thin.

Question:
Answer:

There’s no easy solution to “hat hair”. If you spend time on a good blow-dry, focusing on the roots, making sure the roots are going the way you want your hair to go, you will stand a much better chance of the style looking good when the hat comes off!

Here it’s clear to see the importance of pre-styling. If you set your hair right from the start, you can ensure your style is as durable as possible. We also find it’s good to put a bit of hairspray on a brush, and comb out your style to add volume back.

Question:
Answer:

If your hair is thick; use a thick conditioner and a go for a flatter style. finish with an oil based product. Textured styles will always disguise thick heavy hair, giving a softer appearance.

Ask your barber to thin your hair out, using thinning scissors. A combed-over style would work great for someone with thicker hair, as additional volume will emphasise the thickness.

Question:
Answer:

If you want to disguise the grey in your hair, speak to your barber first! Try not to use a very dark colour, they can look unnatural. Usually combing a little of your natural colour through the top and leaving a few grey hairs at the temples and sides will look natural.

The common consensus on Twitter regarding this question was to embrace it! Many celebrities rock the ‘salt and pepper’ look, and it’s definitely a good fashion statement. Closed On Mondays tip will help to emphasise this, without your hair looking unnatural.
