Directions of use:
Apply a small amount to fingers and rub to soften. Apply to hair sections for desired style. For additional lift, apply to the roots of the hair. Washes out with shampoo easily.

Why change?
I've used this product for 6 years +, but now the formula has changed. Why change something that works, this product is now a shadow of what it used to be.

good but not as good as crew
I have been using this product for about 2 weeks, I thought I would try something different to the usual that I normal purchase, it does a similar job and does it well but you have to use twice as much (maybe more) product as you would with my previous. I have thick short hair and like to rough it up a bit.

Why change!!
I used to love this product, but they have now changed the product. What was excellent is now very average, bring back the original!

Bring back the old LSB 85k
This stuff was amazing but comparing the older 85k to the new 85k it doesn't give the hair the same texture and look it once did!!!!

It used to be good...
I used to be very happy with this product however I can only assume LS&B have changed the formula because I can no longer wash it out. I have tried numerous cleansing shampoo's and I have gone to the extremes of mixing shampoo with vinegar (which usually strips everything out of your hair!). This stuff is a now a nightmare; my last purchase was two tubs and both are as bad as each other. I am now on the hunt for a new product that works as well as this one used to....

Great hold, great scent, great product
My hair is naturally quite straight and thick, and its natural, default position is to sit completely flat even when quite short. I have tried a number of products over the years and none have matched LS&B 85 Karats. Whilst using these other products, my hair had a tendency to flatten as the day progressed; wind was also a dreaded occurrence. My experience thus far with 85 Karats is that it gives a great deal of volume and is perfect for a short, choppy hair style. By the time evening comes it still has great hold and is reworkable. I held back on this review to wait a month to see its performance when my hair had grown and had thickened up ( - I have it thinned out at the barber's). I can confirm it still has brilliant hold, and it also smells fantastic. In summary, I have finally found the perfect product after years of searching. If you are in a similar situation, I definitely recommend giving this a try. [P.S. I use this in conjunction with the Recharge shampoo, which is also great for thick hair.]

Yes a great British product - does the job well and smells great to!! Easily on par with American Crew Fiber and Woody's HeadWax Web!!!

Best clay available
I have tried most of the grooming clays available on the high street, and premium brands, and this is by far the best! Gives me definition, nice matte finish and washes out easily. Definitely worth a try, and now a staple in my bathroom.

The best hair clay ever
All I can say about this product is that it does just the job. I have my hair funky and spiky. I used fudge hair shaper before this and it was great but seemed to loose its strength after a few hours. But not this! It keeps my hair looking its best all day and night. I love the smell also. I really like the soak wash too that you can get. My hair is so thick and moisturized now. The clay washes out in an instant.
