Awesome hair wax
I hardly ever stray from the particular pomade that I use and was weary trying this product for that very reason. I have to say, I was/am pleasantly surprised with the outcome. My hair isn't crunchy and stays combed over just the way I like it.

Not exactly high hold, but very workable. Allows you to reshape and fix throughout the day and not feel like there is a tonne of product in your hair. Also quite a versatile product and can achieve many different styles. Smells great as well. Knocking a star off for the relatively small amount you get for the price and could do with just a touch more hold.

If in doubt about hold, get CLAYMATION
I ordered Sponge Wax based on multiple reviews on YouTube and numerous websites. The consistency is very natural and not sticky. It gets into your hair very easily and the hold appears immediately. It doesn`t leave the hair sticky and chunky at the end of the day like with other gels, waxes. Washing the product out is easy, but I also found that after a day or two without washing your hair it "disappears" by itself. Hair is matt and not shiny which is good if you are not going for the "wet" look. However as the title says, the next Hanz de Fuko product I will get is CLAYMATION. The reason is that I have very weird hair and Sponge Wax is still weak to hold my hair in place. So if you know you have hair that is hard to keep in place just with one product, go straight for CLAYMATION, their strongest hold they offer.

I was not impressed at all with the product. It provides very mild control over the hair. I have wavy to curly hair and when I grow it a little this product is pretty much useless because it seems to fade away really quickly. I tried the claymation by the same brand and it seems to work better.

High Quality, Not High Hold
This is one of three Hanz De Fuko products that I decided to buy after hearing so much about them. All in all, I have found Sponge Wax to be a mixed experience. For comparison, I would say it's most like American Crew Fiber. First off, the quality of the product is extremely high; you really feel like it's an expensive product and it feels and looks amazing in your hair. It is very voluminous, which is not a good thing for me since I have naturally voluminous hair, but could certainly work for people with flatter and lighter hair. It adds a nice amount of texture and doesn't add a lot of weight to your hair. The one thing is that it really is far from a high hold product. I would call this medium hold at the most, maybe even low hold. For my long fringe it does not hold anything in place throughout the day. Don't go for this if you want high hold, but do go for it if you want a product that feels great and adds texture and volume without shine.
