It doesnt have shine wich is good for light hair. Have a good hold for medium hair. But however the smell isnt too good.

I ordered Hanz de Fuko Quicksand after I tried out their Claymation, which was not the right product for my hair. Quicksand provides enough hold, has zero shine and does not leave an unpleasant feeling after washing your hair (like Kevin Murphy Rough Rider for example). This will be my every day styling product from now on. Delivery to germany was very quick (4 days).

Quicksand
Overall its an interesting product. The organic compounds make it smell like garlic bread and it doesn't seem to keep much hold for medium length hair. Probably would do better in shorter hair. But other than that its still a good product that provides flex as well as some hold. I also like the fact that you can use it as a dry shampoo.

By far best matt hold on the market!
Both the Claymation and Quicksand offer the best hold on the market without reservation, but please note if you have longer hair (fringe stretches below your eyes when pulled) it isn't going to hold. No wax or clay or anything will hold that.

Has Hanz changed the ingredients and texture of quicksand?
Purchased quicksand in May 2016 and initial thoughts are not good. The packaging is the same but the contents is not the same as the US version. The US version has a nice texture, sandy grain in feel, a fruity smell offers a superior hold. The UK version I bought from mankind is too soft, no smell and you need to use a lot to get any hold. I'm not sure if Hanz has changed it's ingredients for the UK market but this is not a product I would recommend. The US version I purchased last year from the US (4x quicksand) is a much better product.

Strange but like it?
So this is first time I used this, this product is part styling gel and part dry shampoo? Sooo... I like it, hold is good not extreme, you can change the hair all day couple of times even after sleeping, just syle it or do it with wet hands. Hold is about 3 out of 5 (5 being the spiky gels you get in market). Look is definitely matt and dryish, reduces shine because of dry shampoo in it.

Finally my perfect product!
As this product is also a dry shampoo, it helps wash away any excess weight that is in my very fine hair (which would weigh it down). Using only half a fingertips worth in damp hair, I am able to achieve perfect volume with a hairdryer without the need for a finishing product, or a hairspray. I have been looking for a product that adds texture, volume, and a very high but flexible hold for around 6 months and I have finally found it. And it has exceeded expectations! Won't recommend anything else, especially to those with fine/thiner hair.

Really love claymation by HDF and ordered quicksand for a change to see how it works. Nice product as usual from a great hair range. Gives you a sandy feel to your hair whilst there is a dry shampoo effect to it that keeps your hair healthy. Great If you want to boost your hair volume.
