Reducing razor drag or not
Unfortunately this hasn’t helped reduce drag or prevent cuts. I have a heavy facial growth and shave every day. I use a Gillette Proglide and Men U cream. Had hoped that the oil under the cream would work well but hasn’t. Disappointed.

Oily
I use it under shaving cream for a smoother shave with a double edge razor. It definitely helps but has a very strong smell of cloves which you don't need if the shaving cream also smells of something completely different. You don't need to use much, just a few drops.

Definitely improves your shave.
As a new convert to Double Edge wet shaving, using this oil has eliminated any nicks and cuts I used to get due to poor technique. The razor glides over the skin when this oil is used with a good quality shaving cream or soap. Product has a nice smell and not too greasy. The bottle will last months, so good value.

Warm without the burn
This shave oil is superb, warms the face with a lovely tingle, preps the skin perfectly, I have sensitive skin but since using this shave oil I've had no razor burn, love the heat, love the scent and love how smooth my skin feels

My stock shaving oil
I have been using shaving oil for several years now - the Romans were using oil for shaving centuries ago so I thought I'd give it a whirl. Overall, oil is great once you get used to it as it has the advantages that you can see where you are shaving and it makes blades last longer. I have been using American Crew shaving oil for a few years now. I have quite sensitive skin and the application of about 7 drops totally works for me. I don't look what I am doing, I just feel my way depending on the direction of stubble growth and get great results. I recently reverted to a double-edge safety razor following the withdrawal of my beloved Gillette GII blades. I also bought a badger brush and shaving cream. I persisted with the brush and cream (after applying oil) for a few weeks but got plenty of small nicks and tight, dry-feeling skin. I have reverted to just oil with American Crew and am getting great results - as good as with my old GII. Given the price of double-edge safety blades I think I'm on to a winner. I'm looking forward to trying the Argan Oil product from LSB but can't imagine that it is going to be better than the American Crew - I'll review later. I've tried many others over the years e.g. Somerset's (good) and King of Shaves (not so good) but American Crew is the best value because of the size of the bottle.

LOVE IT
This product is amazing, a little really does go a long way! Have never had such a smooth shave with no tugging or pulling. My skin def feels far less irritated. I use 5 drops for 4 days worth of growth and 2/3 drops for 1 or 2 days stubble. I suffer from very angry razor burn/bumps. This product has helped no end. With further use I hope by as smooth as possible with ZERO unsightly bumps or razor rash. Buy this, you will not regret it!!

Great shaving oil
What can I say. This American Crew Lubricating Shave Oil is a great oil, easy to wash off and I can use without a cream on top. It's a must have from now on!

Smooooth
This stuff is great and less expensive than the Anthony Logistics oil I was buying. I found that brand was really thick and ended up clogging my pores a lot which was not nice. This is much lighter and better and I get great shaves with this, I highly recommend!

Very nice
This Lubricating Shave Oil is a very good consistency, not too thin that it would run off your hand before you apply, but not sludgey either, a small amount covers the whole face. It also smells fantastic, a mix of orange and clove.
