Excellent Service
I am using the maximum comfort gel since years. As I wrote in my last review that I had received a broken item Mankind reacted immediately and send a new one within days. This is indeed an excellent customer service, that is not seen anymore that often. Great service of Mankind and great product.

Best There Is
Super stuff. A little goes a long long way, and left to soak into your beard for a couple of minutes it's even better. I know of one seller who supplies a separate well-known brand, but prefers to use this. Would not use anything else

Lasts, and lasts and lasts... smells good, too!
I used Clinique's M Shave Gel for years and then stumbled upon this stuff several years ago. I first started out with it when it was packaged in a plastic container, much like the Clinique gel, and really didn't care for it. However, I think I was using the wrong cleanser for my skin type, and thus, my shaves were not all that impressive. So I wrote off the Lab Series Shave Gel. Then, Lab Series went through a repackaging of their product line, and I decided to try the Maximum Comfort Shave Gel again. This time, however, it was packaged differently in a metal container rather than the plastic one. When I tried it for the first time again in the new packaging, the thing that stood out the most was the smell! Couldn't get enough of it. It's a very light, clean, refreshing smell. It's really a pleasure to use, especially in the morning when just waking up. I can't say enough about the smell of this gel, it's really very nice! The second thing I noticed about this gel is the fact that you really only need to use a little bit. It must be HIGHLY concentrated (TO THE MAX!) because a can of this stuff lasts for ages!! In fact, one time, I was getting down to what I thought was the last of the product in the container, so I ordered a new one. When the new one arrived, I thought it would be interesting to see just how much was left in the old container. I pressed down on the mechanism at the top of the can to start the flow of the shave gel over a trash can, and was amazed that there was FAR more than one would realize -- even when the can felt near empty. When you actually apply it to the face, it goes on like a gel, but during application it gets very "whipped" and light... paving the way for a VERY nice shave and it rinses CLEAN!!! No sticky or tacky after feel. As for the actual performance of this gel -- lately I've been finding it better than that of Clinique's shave gel. Maybe my skin has changed or is going through changes as I get older (I'm 34), but I find that this stuff works EXCEPTIONALLY well on my skin with Lab Series Power Wash (another product that really didn't work well for me at first). Interestingly enough, Lab Series cross-promotes the Maximum Comfort Shave Gel and the Power Wash as products that "work well together." For the amount you get, it's worth every cent. And again, the light, fresh, clean smell of this shave gel is very invigorating! Do yourself a favor and just buy it!

Good product and lubricates very well, a lot like Cliniques M Shave gel.

Good... but not great
This is a good shave gel which transforms into a cream when applied and gives a reasonable close shave. However it does not prevent razor burn, and there are better creams out there. Zirh cream and Anthony cream are two of them.

Good
A little does go a long way but the cushioning effect isn't as good as the Clinique M-Shave gel. The Lab Series Smooth Shave Oil gives a far superior shave IMO.
