Effective but unpleasant

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

The reason this cream gets five stars is because I think it does what it is meant to do. I have been using it once a day, every day, for about four weeks; and I have noticed a noticeable reduction in lines and wrinkles around the eye and a general freshness to the eye area. I think it has had less of an impact on my dark circles but they too have improved to a certain extent. Unfortunately, this is not a pleasant cream to use for me. It stings and itches the skin when I put it on, and this feeling can last for a few hours. I assumed that it would make the skin red and angry-looking, but it has not. I have to give the cream five stars because it does the job it is meant to do very effectively - who's not prepared to put up with a little discomfort in the name of beauty?!!!

Works but stings

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is effective on dark circles. I could be wrong, but I think it does this by tanning as it smells a bit like fake tan, and although the cream is white, any traces of cream that have dried in the lid turned orange. It feels rough to apply, almost like a very fine scrub, and stings for a few minutes afterwards.

Used this and it does work, but made eyes very sore and watery, will put up with lines and go back to Guinot.
