During London Collections Men it wasn’t just our Street Style sisters over at Coggles scouting out the best fashionable finds for us back here at Mankind HQ. We also had our friends at L’Oréal Professionnel haircare sharing with us their behind the scenes insight. Styling the models hair for the Barbour and John Smedley Shows at LCM, L’Oréal Professionnel followed the upcoming trend of clean cut grooming for AW16 throughout the looks they created.
L’Oréal Professionnel x LCM: Barbour
To compliment the British Heritage brand Barbour at LCM, Stylist Cristiano Basciu (from Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa) used a mixture of L’Oréal Professionnel products to add texture and hold to the style. Using L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni Art Pli Shaper to blow dry the hair, this heat activated styling product adds grip and primes the hair strands ready for styling. Once the hair was dry to the touch, the stylist could then add L’Oréal TNA Texture Dust to create volume with a soft hold, ready for any fly-aways to be sleeked over with spritz of Tecni Art Anti-Frizz Spray and Mythic Oil smoothed down to polish this windswept and disheveled look.
L’Oréal Professionnel x LCM: John Smedley
For the John Smedley Show at LCM, professional stylists from Headmasters created a natural style from L’Oréal Professionnel products. Once again using Tecni Art Pli Shaper as the base to prime the hair, Headmasters created a smooth curl with a natural, controlled wave for the final look. Texture Dust was added to the back of the hair to give a touch of volume as a contrast to the glossy finish to the overall shape – created by adding a touch of Metallic Gloss. The result is an effortless style which can easily be created as a daily look for any occasion.
