Excellente
Merkur! The brand never fails. This product is excellent in its function, design, style, and look. This two piece safety razor is the heaviest amongst Merkur safety razors available. It's weight makes your shaving work very easy; the weight does everything one need. One can say its aggressiveness as slightly more than smooth. The style with a bulbous handle and barber pole base is appealing. The handle made of mat-finished-stainless steel gives a strong grip even for wet hands. Overall, it's awesome and recommendable.

Practice needed but worth it!
Bought this after reading all the raving reviews from people who changed from multi-blade, vibrating razors to the traditional DE safety razor. I must say I never had a problem with the Fusion type. Always a relatively close shave, but I just fancied a change. All the reviews about DE razors warned about the practice and care needed until you got used to it. I've been using it for a few weeks now and agree with all the reviews. It does provide an excellent close shave, and after several quite nasty nicks I think I may have mastered the technique. Its like learning to shave all over again. Takes a lot longer, but worth it. My face stays smooth for most of the day, which for me is a novelty as by about lunchtime my face normally feels and looks like I need a shave again. Still use the old one when I'm in a hurry, but always use my Merkur when I want to make that extra special effort. Well worth the money. But be sure and buy it along with a good quality soap or cream. You won't regret it.
