Great razor, allows you to select the blade grade that suits your face. Have no issue with the clogging up that some people have advised in the review., must be good Scottish water. Super razor well worth the spend of the extra cash.

A very slight blemish on the anodised finish does not spoil what is an undoubtedly well engineered, quality product. The blade distance adjustment is easy to use enough but it would be more sensical to have a simple numerical scale rather than V.I.S.I.O.N - there are 2 letter Is and the smallest setting is not V, and the widest, deepest cut setting not N! Despite this, the shave is sublime. Other users have commented upon how you can hear the cut as it glides through the stubble and I can attest to that... of course it is the material choice and design of the shaver that gives this satisfying cutting soundtrack but it is reassuring that each pass of the blade is doing its job. The weight and size of the Vision is not unwieldy and quick to get used to. The secret is to let the weight of the shaver provide just the right pressure for a good pass. Very pleased with my purchase.

Vision 2000 razor is so shockingly poor to shave with that I have went back to my old razor after only having used this Vision 2000 twice. If you were to offer me my money back I would take it. Cannot believe that this is German engineering at it's best!

What a quality piece of engineering, which results in an awesome shave. When first receiving this razor I was nervous to use it as it looks lethal! Once I got past that and gave it a go I was most impressed. Taking the advice from other reviews I did not put pressure on the blade just letting the weight of the razor to do the work. Quality kit with a quality shave.

This is a superbly engineered razor with a luxurious heavy weight to it. I discovered a few years ago that Safety razors (or double sided) really do give the best shave. So ignore the doubters who claim a mach3 is better, a DE is much better but needs a very different technique, use a steeper angle and don't apply pressure. Also avoid gels or foams, use a cream or hard soap with the most important thing, a good badger brush. For the best tutorial, search Google for "safety razor shave" and read the MSNBC article.

I just love this razor The blade position can be set and boy does this work At the lowest setting I was left with a slight stubble and a few clicks later I was clean shaven I can't say for sure that this gives a better than the supermarket razors but it just screams class at you and demands to be used Get one - I know you will feel better if you do Yes its pricey but if you are here at Mankind spending money on yourself you deserve something this special You won't be disappointed The cost of the blades makes it a good long term investment

have been shaving for more years than i can remember and yera went down the gilettemach road recently decided to come back to safety razors... and can honestly say i have never felt better after a shave in 20 yrs this 2000 is brilliant would recommend to anyone

This is a real gem. Once you find the proper setting, it gives you a close, comfortable shave. One word of caution: Check the setting after you've cleaned it. One time I discovered that I'd accidentally increased the setting when I left a bloody swath across my face. The razor is pricy, but the per hundred unit cost of those fancy plastic pieces with multiple blades embedded in them is US$350. The per hundred unit cost of stainless steel blades in $US50.
