1. Biotherm Homme Power Bronze Matt Powder Brush 3.5g
£30.00
Like a lot of men I’m totally fascinated by the boom in male cosmetics but even I get scared of using them sometimes. And whilst I know lots of people who swear by self-tan, I’m the kind of man who likes instant and controllable results. So this bronzing powder is perfect. It’s a cinch to use (trust me, if you can use a paint brush you can use this) and gives skin a healthy, matte glow in seconds and because you can control exactly how much goes on, there’s absolutely no chance of you ending up looking like David Dickinson. What’s more, as other reviewers on this site have pointed out, a little goes a very long way so it’s a sound investment too!

Tip: If you want to hide dark circles under your eyes apply a little concealer under the eyes and then sweep the powder brush over the area afterwards to even out skin tone.

2. Tateossian Silver Keyboard Cufflinks
£195.00
I always think you can tell how much a man really cares about his appearance by the kind of cufflinks he wears. They’re a small detail I know, but details matter and no matter how sharp your suit and tie, if you’re sporting naff cufflinks you’re no-where! These mother-of-pearl and onyx numbers are a personal fave because they make a statement without being too ostentatious or gaudy, pretty much go with anything and catch the light (and hence the eye) brilliantly. They’re an investment purchase, for sure, but then a really good pair of links should last you a lifetime.

Tip: Mother of pearl is the ultimate low-maintenance precious material. To keep it sparkling simply clean with a damp jewellery cloth. Never use chemicals or harsh abrasives.

3. Anthony Logistics Glycerine Hand and Body Lotion 70gm
£10.00
Most men think nothing of slapping on a face cream every morning. For many of us it’s second nature. What we’re not quite so good at doing, though, is looking after our hands and body in quite the same way. Yet they too need a little care and attention. After all, hands are in constant view when we eat or drink and nobody likes to run their fingers over a body that’s dry, scaly and lumpy! This great hand and body lotion comes with my seal of approval for a number of reasons - it’s easily absorbed, only very lightly fragranced and works a treat, for starters. But it’s also a credit-crunch-busting wonder that does hands, feet and body all in one, keeping you soft and supple top-to-toe. Brilliant!

Tip: For maximum benefit apply last thing at night - the warmth of your bed will help your skin absorb the lotion, and focus on areas that tend to be drier, like your extremities.
