"Hi there I dont write reviews often but Zirh Clean Facial Wash deserves one. I got this product this week as a free sample. I suffer from oily facial skin, a right bug bear isnt it and if I use to harsh cleanses I get sore dry bits round my nose. Anyway moving on, this product is the best thing I've ever used. I have tried no end to find a oily facial washes but this is nice, foamy, smells nice and leaves your skin clean. It helps you look younger and firm's smaller pores and leaves no blackheads etc or dull looking skin from which the oily skin tends to look like. I have now placed an order for this due to being sent a sample. I will say only used it twice and I think still around mid day i would still need to use a oily wipe or something but havent tried it long enough yet to see how long it keep's the oil at bay. But I will still use it regardless cause it makes your face look really clean and refreshed and if the oil does come back why im at work i'll start using a wipe. Shame Zirh dont do a wipe. I know lab series do but I tried there products in past and didnt like them. Summary very good cleaneser and doesnt leave a harsh feeling on skin but obsolutely distroys oil and backheads and lovely to use. Give it a go i will be surprised if u didnt like this. Some bad reviews at bottom but everyone's different I guess but ive tried a lot of products this is best for me. "The consistency and smell of this product resembles that of Fairy Liquid - how some of the reviewers here could find its smell pleasant I don't know! But I disagree - this is a good product, as with any products that contain Hydroxy Acids as the active ingredient, this product increases the rate of cell turnover (removal of older cells, stimulating new cell growth) thereby improving general complexion and skin tone. On using 'Clean', the product creates and oddly pleasant sensation, though leaves the skin feeling rather taught afterwards - perhaps due to the dehydrating effects of alcohol combined with the acids present in the formula. Because it's got AHAs, your skin can get kind of flaky when you go to put on a moisturizer, so I normally use this wash, then either a scrub or a rough pad do scrub off all the dead skin that CLEAN has loosened. Powerful, effective, and slightly harsh.
"I think this is very good stuff: I've been using it for six months on my combination skin, and it certainly makes spots a rarity. It works brilliantly on the oily bits of my skin, and (unfortunately) just as well on the non-oily bits where it's action is slightly harsh. This isn't too much of a problem, as any decent moisturiser will balance it back out. What I would suggest is that you don't leave it on your face too long: I used to leave the lather on for about a minute, but after a few weeks this even made my oily skin dry! Now I rinse it off within thirty seconds, and it's fine. Other than that minor niggle, it's brilliant. Because it's powerful, you only need a little, and when you consider the size of the bottle, it represents superb value for money (after six months I'm only about 100ml down my bottle, which tends to lead to some frustrating HP Sauce moments, so it might be worth liberating a pump dispenser from a shampoo bottle or similar)." - Paul Wright |

Great Product, Lousy Packaging!
"I've used this Facial Wash for a couple of years. It's good for normal to oily skin and really leaves your face feeling clean. My gripe has always been the stupid packaging. Having to unscrew a cap and pour some out is awkward, wasteful and sometimes messy. I tried a Moulton Brown bottle with their pump, but it wasn't strong enough to pump up the face wash. Then finally I found a solution: empty liquid soap containers like "Simple" work very well. You pour in the Zirh, and then the pump delivers exactly the right amount to wash your face, and all with only one hand. Companies like Zirh should give much more thought to how they package their products." - Robert Owen |

The good, the bad and the annoying.
"I have used this product for well over a year now so I thought I would write a considered review. I have also suffered from acne and spots since my teenage years well into my 30's. If you stick with the product through the odd breakout then, over time, it really does work. Yes, use a good moisturiser (I like Anthony Logistics) as it can be a bit harsh at times depending how your skin is on a particular day. Don't expect instant results and use it as part of a good daily regimen. Give it a few months and one day you look in the mirror and see the difference. Yes I really hate the packaging and getting a blob out of the bottle in the morning takes some patience. I found the best way is to leave the cap on and shake the bottle upside down until you feel the 'thump' as a large blob hits the cap and then unscrew it. Very good but not for fair/sensitive skin.

However, after using it every day as directed I got redness, and the product seemed to aggravate my skin and gave me a few really bad breakouts. I now only use this once every 3 or 4 days and use Lab Series multi-action face wash the rest of the time. If you have fair, sensitive or easily irritated skin or are prone to blemishes I would definitely recommend something a bit less harsh and without alpha hydroxy acids. "It seemed ok to start with, but then after a week of using it dried my skin out badly, using the zirh defend moisturiser didn't do anything at all to help either. Suggest to try a sample before you use it, it will probably work well on oily skin but didn't on my normal skin at all.
