This classic Christmas film is an adaptation of the Charles Dickens’ novel, A Christmas Carol. Exploring the life of Victorian miser Ebenezer Scrooge, he is visited by three ghosts; Christmas past, Christmas present and Christmas yet to come. It takes him on a journey to reveal to him his bad ways in an effort to change his future.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas

Directed by Ron Howard, this well-known Christmas film from 2000 is loved by many. Starring Jim Carey as the Grinch, How The Grinch Stole Christmas is about a bitter creature who lives in seclusion away from the town he grew up in due to being mistreated during childhood. The character played by Taylor Momsen is intrigued and aims to get the Grinch accepted into their village again.

Home Alone

Christmas comedy Home Alone has been a staple film to watch each December ever since its release. The plot is about a young boy who is accidentally left home alone whilst his family go on holiday over Christmas. Everything goes well until burglars decide to break into the home… It also features actors Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Larry Hankin.

Gremlins

A combination between comedy, fantasy and horror, Gremlins is the story of a unique Christmas gift gone wrong. The rules of taking care of their mysterious new pet mogwai were broken, causing havoc upon a whole town. After watching the original, you can continue the story with the sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch.
