Paul was MD of a successful engineering company in the manufacturing industry, but was quick to see that the internet was where the future lay. So this, coupled with the rapid growth in the male grooming sector made the idea of setting up Mankind irresistible.
Paul indulges his love for everything technical by managing operations, online development, service support and accounts.
Their aim has always been to offer the privacy and ease of online service but with a very approachable, warm persona and human touch. In the early days Hilary and Paul picked and packed the orders, sorted the stock, planned the website and produced the catalogues themselves. Even today, they love to get deliveries of new products, ripping them open like children on Christmas morning! Or perhaps you’ll find one of them in the warehouse, carefully packing a customer's order ready for next day dispatch. They are both still happy to be found at the coal face, as they say.
